Strawberry Dessert Board
- LOOKS INVOLVED BUT ITS SIMPLE!This strawberry board is so simple to make and looks so beautiful! Chocolate covered strawberries are always a hit! They are such a fun and beautiful desert. In our house they are a favorite and the kids love to help with them. I usually give the kids their own strawberries and bowl of chocolate and let them dip away while I work on some prettier ones in the kitchen.
- COST I love that these berries can be enjoyed by those with dairy allergies, but the best thing is the cost to make them compared to buying them is about half!
- Fun Variations There are so many possibilities for these berries. One variation would be to dip the berry in melted white chocolate and cover them with brightly colored sprinkles for a fun birthday tray! You could even add a sucker stick and do a chocolate covered berry sucker! For Easter I add a little orange food coloring to the white chocolate dip the berry, then add it my allergy free pudding cup with crushed cookies on top for a carrot in the dirt cup. My kids love these!

Instructions
Melting Chocolate
- Melt chocolate in glass bowl in the microwave. You will need to keep it tempered or temper it. To keep chocolate tempered (it is already temper when bought) do not let chocolate get above 100 degrees. Melt on 50% in microwave stirring every 30 seconds. If chocolate get above that temp simply add in more chocolate chip to cool it unit it is around 90 degrees and this will bring back the temper, making it hard at room temp instead of soft.
Dipping and Topping
- Gently pull up on green tops to loosen them away from the berry. Use a toothpick to pierce the tip and dip the strawberry in the melted chocolate. Hold the berry above the bowl until excess chocolate is done dripping off. Then sprinkle mini chips on berry and place on parchment or wax paper to cool at room temp. For adding crushed cookies dip the berry into the crushed cookies to coat and place on same paper to cool.
White Chocolate Drizzle
- Melt white chocolate allergy free chips the same as the other chips. Once melted pour into zip lock bag. Cut a small tip off the ziplock and gently squeeze as you drizzle over berry.
